test results
Hello Group!
At the end I have made my experiments on EIGRP querying, I share the results with you.
The results: - Nor inbound/outbound distribute-list nor summary-address creates border for query on on interface. - A router that used to have the route in it’s topology table allways sends query to all eigrp neighbors unconditionally. - A router which never had that route in its’s topology table does not create any query altough it gets queries on several interfaces.
This way distribute-list, address summarization implicitely makes query border: if a router does not get a route form uplink neighbors, it does not create query for them towards the downlink (and uplink) neigbors.
Quite suprising for me, perhaps it is new for some of you.
