RIP Question

Guys,

I want this answer more from ccie lab prospective. I have two routers running RIP version 2 on one interface. Will you stop non-RIP subnets being advertised by the router in the lab???
I have not seen any lab workbooks using it any filtering for this..

What is the best practice? I know I can filter unwanted routes using distribute-list or Offset-list. Just want to make I wont loose points for stupid routers tricks :-)
