Reflector port

I am confused with RSPAN reflector port , it can be any free port which is not part of any other VLAN ?
What I undertsand from DOC CD all the untagged traffic from source port come to to reflector port and then tagged with RSPAN vlan and send to the trunk on remote side.
Do I have to confiure RSPAN vlan on this port ?
