Thank you for pointing that out. I must have missed it. I was getting ready to sell my PIX.

Have to disagree with you on Q2. It does not matter since failover is not an requirement for the lab before jan 07. After jan 07 you have failover in the lab blueprint. So, because of that you are fine using the Restricted… for now….!!

1. Use an activation key 2. Yes cus you need unrestricted for failover and and to use all 6 interfaces
3. Yes 4. To my knowledge u can only run max 6 int
5. Nope
6 once unrestricted you have full access.

I will be using the pix for my lab studies.
1)How do you go about changing from restricted to unrestricted?
2)Does unrestricted and restricted matter for a home lab?
3) can I simply upgrade the memory and run the latest OS or IOS like a router?
4) can I simply add more interfaces with out any problems?
5) does anyone see any other issues I may have for a home lab?
6} do i need a license or key for a home lab (study use)?
