no auto-summary -> configure it or not?

Good to know, that helps.
Thanks

Always turn it off. Especially in the lab, unless implicitly suggested in the question. Maybe others can inject more, but I can’t think of an instance where I didn’t type no auto-summary, in all my IGPs and with BGP.
There were a couple of labs from vendors that have you leaving summarization on, but it is almost always suggested in the question. On Mon, Apr 28, 2008 at 2:17 PM, Roger wrote: Hi Group,
I have a general question regarding auto-summary in the various routing protocols. If the task doesn t explicitly tell you to configure no auto-summary, do you configure it or not?
Or do you configure it only on some certain protocols?
I mean in real networks most of people would always configure no auto-summary, isn t it? How is it with this in the CCIE LAB??
Thanks
Roger
