I know lot fo people are following IE workbook on this list. Lab 9 Multicast task 6.2 could some one please explain why in solution guide tunnel is used between R1 and R3 ? I though tunnel is used when routers in between does not speak PIM. in task they say enable pim on all the interface and still using tunnel ?
I was under impression if we use ip pim nbma mode , things should work ? Is my understanding correct ?
