MPLS command on the interface (mpls ip) (tag ip) ?

Somewhere between IOS 12.1 and 12.2 Cisco introduced “mpls” commands to replace the more proprietary “tag-switching” command set (tag-switching implies tdp, Cisco’s own protocol). Also, general references to “tag switching” have given way to “label switching”.
You can use the tag-switching or mpls commands interchangeably. Depending on what IOS version you are running, your config may or may not display the command variant you type in. The results should be consistent though.
There is a good table in the 12.2 config guide that lists the old and new commands side by side: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_2/switch/configuration/guide/xcftagov_ps1835_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#wp1026749
