Limiting Eigrp query scope
Hello,
I am studying EIGRP at the moment and I have a doubt regarding how to limit the query scope. The CCIE official book states the only 2 methods are stub routers and summarization.
I was wondering if it is possible to limit the queries with distribute lists.
Is it possible?
I mean, if a router prevents a particular prefix from being advertised to a neighbor it may have sense to not query it for that prefix if it’s lost.
On the other side it is possible that the neighbor received the update from another router, so it may have the route.
I don’t think the router will limit the scope based on the distribute lists… but I am not 100% sure.
Thanks,
Dino
