keep alive on the tunnel interface
The tunnel keepalive also only works on GRE tunnels, not IPIP.

If I have tunneling interface between two routers, does the keep alive on this interface send a periodic keep alive from the tunnel source to the tunnel destination. E.g. does the up of the tunnel interface mean that there is a reach ability between the tunnel source and the tunnel destination.
