IS-IS and link failure detection
Hi guys,
Let’s say that I am asked to minimize the link failure detection time with minimal impact on the router’s processing power.
I would normally choose BFD, but this is available either on high-end platforms either on IOS 12.4. No chance to see this in the real lab.
The other alternative that I am aware of is “isis hello-interval minimal”, but this does have impact on the processing power (debug isis adj-packets just killed my router).
The question is: am I missing something?
