ip multicast boundry command
Hi Mac.
Yep this command does filter traffic in both directions. This is an advantage the command has over regular ACLs since a single multicast ACL can be used in the place of two regular ACLS. Its also simpler to configure than regular access lists because you can use a standard ACL. Regular ACLs need to match on destination for multicast and so extended ACLs are required. A multicast boundary ACL doesn’t care where the traffic is coming from (since it works in both directions) and so can just use a simple standard ACL for matching.
