IEWBv3 Lab 12, FR QoS Question
Hi Group,
I want to make sure not to lose points on the exam for stupid doubts like the following:
In the lab mentioned above, R4 has three PVC to routers R1, R2 and R5. The QoS section question asks for R4 to shape the PVC to R2 to 512kbit/s. The physical interface that all three pvc are using is of T1 speed. The task also asks for the remaining two PVC to share equally the remaining interface bandwidth.
Now, in the task solution, the three frame-relay map-classes are configured (all of them) with “frame-relay cir 512000“.
Shouldn’t the remaining two PVC be configured with 516kbit/s CIR, as the T1 interface bandiwdh is 1544kbit/s, so the remaining bandiwth for the two PVC is supposed to be 1544 - 512 = 1032 kbit/s and therefore each of the remaining two PVC should have 516kbit/s?
