CM Down Error on a cisco 7940 phone
Hi,
It usually relates to connectivity issues, which happen because of long delays or broken link.
If you can describe in more details the circumstances of the problem, such as your topology, things that happened before and such, I can try to suggest more detailed steps.

Hi,
I was wondering has anyone had an issue with a 7940 phone where its come up with CM Error Down on the display and come up with a cause for this type of message?
I have looked through ccm logs and have no idea why this error came up? I’ve googled causes for this error and haven’t found anything. All I know is that when you get a CM down error on the phone, the phone looses site with call manager perhaps.
Any idea’s on how to troubleshoot a fault like this would be appreciated.
