If you connect to the Internet through a “high-speed” circuit via Verizon Business/MCI/UUNet, then they probably carried your traffic.
I happen to agree that for holistic support, that Cisco is probably a better company for most people. But as a community of Network Engineers, we must stop drinking the Kool-Aid and not let our bias for/against Cisco, or $vendor, affect our decision making.
This will only lead to complacency on both their, and our, parts.
