Tony has since responded to this and I do agree with him.
I will only add that lab preparation and performance is a very personal thing, so absolutes are difficult to gauge.
A mock exam will help show you where you are at. If you really are overwhelmed by it, 25 days out is a tough ask to remedy things but at least you have a metric! You really want to have digested enough technologies in terms of understanding how they *actually* work to have a decent fighting chance of a 1st time lab pass. Getting to that standard takes time.

I have heard from people that most people get overwhelmed during their first attempt and thats one of the major reason of not clearing in first attempt. I understand that strategy differs from individual to individual but what should be a best practice followed during ccie-lab?
